Hello,
I haven’t been very active with this blog as of late. Hopefully it’s gonna change. Since my last post in this blog I had a long stretch where I played very bad and obviously as you play bad you are going to be a FPP Pro. I don’t like that. I went back to NL 25 FR in march and play a couple of thousand hands. One of the reasons I haven’t been as active in poker or on this blog is because I have been working as an IT Consultant again before I might start to study in August / September 2012. I’m also looking to get a poker coach and so far I have been chatting it up with Tyler Coates. His coaching is focused on playing your A-game and try to play less B and C game and even elimate your D-game. You can take a look at his website here: http://www.pokerprofession.net/strategy/
Other than that I have came on contact with Rask from Cardrunners. I have only discussed a few hands with him so far, but he seems to be a very likeable guy, with a solid poker foundation. I do also think he seems to be very good at explaining his though process and logical decisions.

June 2011: New motivation and dedication!
So 2011 has been pretty disappointing so far, 2 failed shots at NL 100 and NL 50 is the most rogged limit out there and I’ve came to a point where I’ve had enough of Full-Ring or Nit Ring if you like. It’s retarded that I played FR for so long as I did. I have finally found 6 Max games which is more fun and you can win money without coolers and in general out play people more specially post-flop because people play so much more wide ranges than in FR I think. Since I’ve had very limited experience with 6 Max and had no clue how to play post-flop like 95% of the rest of the Full-Ring regulars. Well now it is time to step it up and stop playing mass tables and grind VPP’s. For now I’m going to just completely ignore volume and VPPs and focus on playing each individual hand as optimal as possible. I will try to play 6 tables at once and up to 9 in primetime when the games are most juicy.
So I have a few new goals for July:
Make 100 BI at NL 25 6 max – and move up to NL 50
Keep on watching Leggo Poker and evolve my game
Set a stop-loss for each session when I’m down 4 BI. I find it tilting to be down 4 BI even if I have played well and ran bad.
Play solid and do less mistakes than the other regs at my stake
NL 25 last 7 days:
Just a short update in the middle of the month.
BR is now 2600$ and I have moved up to 50 NL. I will not move up to NL 100 before I have fixed a few leaks, started to run better and stopped spewing somewhat too much.
I’ve spent some FPP’s on cash because I’ve played bad and ran about 25 BI under EV. Also I’ve spewed massively vs specific people who just 3bets 6-7% and obviously when I 4bet bluff with blockers once in a while they 5bet ship. Probably variance, still annoying.
I’m going to play more MTT’s on the side and try to play less CG tables and try to table-select well and not have 3bet monkeys from left because its just such pain, and I tend to spew to much when that happens.
I’m also going to post a few handhistory’s when I upload a blog and this one was pretty funny. For my part the hand basically played it self, but since this regular has started to get out of line a lot it was time to tarrrrp!

So 2010 didn’t go so well to be honest poker-wise. I got burned out in April and just cashed out my bankroll. I didn’t have any reasons to play and I thought it was boring to just grind. Late in 2010 I started this blog to get more focus and try get back and play some more poker. I will use the blog to get more motivated about poker and money. I know I can become really good if I just have the right mindset and stop tilting. I have set up some goals and I think I really can pull this off if I keep on playing a lot of poker. I also figured out I didn’t want to make any deposit so I just started to grind some NL 25 in december on Stars which was really soft. I will try to gun for UGL badge on NL 25 in January and move up to NL 50 in February. I started of January the first with only 2.5k hands, I was so hungover and it was really difficult to play my A-game.
Goals for 2011:
- Grow bankroll from 2.300$ to minimum 20.000$ with RB.
- 300.000 VPP’s 170k hands a month playing the maximum of 16 tables.
- NL 200 Reg by the end of the year at both 100 and 250 bb tables.
- 170k hands a month playing the maximum of 16 tables.
- Get roll for Euro-tables.
- Quit trash-talking at the tables.
Stars Account:
Holla!
Was not playing much in the summer and cashed out my roll and traded stocks with it mostly. Just could handle to play in the summer.
However I’ve been playing some NL 25 while I am waiting for my bankroll to get back to Stars, kinda hard when regulations in Norway is a pain in the ass.
Graph: Not that much sample-size but the table selecting tool in Holdem Manager is just brilliant stuff! I have lost money at NL 25 in total if you PTR me, because I was a fish one year ago.
This in an upcoming blog that will be about poker, money and +EV spots in life.
The blog is in a early phase, stay tuned for updates!
